I’d like to paint it. Not sure what color, maybe a nice earthy / forest green or a dark blue. I’m mostly just tired of the sterile white. However, my room is really large and would have to be repainted whenever I move out, so painting it would be a costly and time-consuming project.
I also am planning on tearing down all of the stuff I have on my walls and putting up new things (and maybe some of the old ones, but I’d like to frame some of the stuff). I don’t like how I hung most of them. I might also try and get some sort of tapestries to hang up until I can get the $$$ / time to paint.
I’d also like to add some shelving at some point, for books or records. Speaking of records, I need to find a nice little table to put my record player and speakers on so that it is no longer on the floor. I’d also like to find a new bed side table.
I think I mostly want to do all of this because I’m kind of unsatisfied by the rest of the house is decorated / the lack of inclusion by my other two roommates, so I’m just going to make my room look really nice and cool and pretend it’s a studio apartment and never leave it!
But mostly just dreaming of taking over my friend’s one bedroom apartment downtown — hardwood floors, one bedroom, perfect location… Ugh.
